Time Limits for Recreational Vehicles

In response to citizen complaints, the Molalla Police Department will begin ticketing trailers, buses, campers, motor homes, recreational vehicles, boats, or other personal property stored in the right of way (streets and sidewalks) beyond the time limits allowed by Molalla Municipal Code. Time limits for storage on city property are as follows:

  • 10 TOTAL DAYS per calendar year IF adjacent to the owner’s property
  • 72 CONSECUTIVE HOURS (3 days) IF NOT adjacent to the owner’s property
  • In a manner that does not obstruct views of traffic

 

Aside from temporary purposes, these vehicles belong on private property; either yours or in storage. Personal vehicles are exempt from these restrictions but are subject to relevant posted parking ordinances.
