Stormwater Treatment
The Operations Division operates Molalla's stormwater collection system, detention and water quality ponds. Stormwater runoff drains into Bear Creek and Creamery Creek which are tributaries of the Pudding and Molalla Rivers. Our mission is to maintain and improve the city's stormwater conveyance and treatment system in a sustainable, affordable, and professional manner.
The City’s mission is to manage stormwater byproducts in accordance with the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Plan, approved by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) with an effective date of April 23, 2018. Temperature and bacteria can effect creeks and other bodies of water and the TMDL Implementation Plan is a guiding document to improve surface water quality.
