$50,803-$61,809 Plus Benefits and City Paid PERS (Ability to earn 8% incentive pay)

The City of Molalla has two (2) full-time, represented, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I positions available who work under the direction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager and the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Lead. These entry level positions assist in performing operation and maintenance duties as outlined by established policies and procedures, or perform tasks as requested. Wastewater Plant Operator I participates in all aspects of facility operation as it applies to municipal wastewater treatment. Operates under general supervision, except where standard practices enable the employee to proceed alone on regular duties but refers questionable cases to supervisor.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized courses.
• Ability to use biology, algebra, chemistry, and laboratory technology.
• Must be certified as Oregon Wastewater Treatment I within 2 years of hire.
• A valid Oregon driver’s license is required.
• Associate of Science Degree in Water or Wastewater Treatment Technology (Preferred).
