Steering Committee

Introduction:

While there is significant cross over between focus areas in the 2030 Molalla Community Visioning Document, the committee’s primary focus is area #3 –

“Molalla is an economically sound and growing community which is evident in the diversity of businesses, partnerships, education, innovation, and the strong work ethic of its people.”  

The Molalla Economic Development Steering Committee is a “Community Program Committee” selected by the City Council for their special skills and willingness to volunteer their time to help make the economic goals of the 2030 Molalla Community Vision a reality. The committee is comprised of dedicated community leaders with diverse social, educational, and professional backgrounds.

Mission:

The mission of the Vision to Action Steering Committee is multifaceted: 1) Spread the word about the 2030 Molalla Community Vision; 2) Review the 2030 Molalla Community Vision for focus areas related to Economic Development; 3) Select Economic Development related focus areas to build action plans and teams around; 4) Advertise and market the selected focus areas and recruit action teams; 5) Participate in action teams, assist in development of action plans, implement action plans; 6) Become self-sustaining, continue to guide the Molalla Community in areas of Economic Development identified in the 2030 Community Vision.
