How You Can Help

Our Heartbeat is Volunteers

The Adult Center operates with the help of over 150 volunteers each month. We are so proud of these people who donate their time and energy to the service of others. Without them seniors in Molalla would eat in silence and the homebound or handicapped might go without a meal.

A heartfelt "Thank You" to all of you who keep the Molalla Adult Center one of the highest quality senior facilities in the country!

Donate Books and Videos

We can always use some new books and videos in our library. Put your new or used material on the cart inside the library door. Our librarian will index them later.

Medical Supplies

The Center often recieves donations of medical supplies such as disposable pads, adult diapers, diabetic teststrips, syringes, lancets and lotions. Call Tiffany to see what's available.

Donations

Donations to the Center are always gratefully accepted. We can receive cash and checks. Please call the Director, Lola Burge, if you would like more information on donating stocks, bonds and securities, living wills, bequests or memorial gifts. You can also send your donations directly to:

We Need Drivers!

Help! We sometimes run short on drivers due to family vacations or illness but we still need drivers to deliver meals and take people to medical appointments.

Choose your own hours and we’ll see where you can fit in. There is mileage reimbursement for some programs.

Meal Servers

Local churches and benevolent organizations often come to the Center to serve lunch. If you want to help out in this area, see the receptionist or the Nutrition Manager, Sandra Livesay.

Participation Cards

To qualify for certain programs, we need to keep track of all volunteers over the age of 60. Ask a staff person or the  receptionist for a registration card. All information is kept confidential.

Senior Companions

Do you know someone who would love to have a weekly visitor or perhaps would you like to get paid to be a Visitor?

The Senior Companions program is designed to be both helpful to people and a worthwhile way to earn some extra cash.

Senior Companions earn a small amount of vacation, sick and holiday time as well as receive 20 hours of training in Human services and 4 hours monthly for training and support from County workers.
